This is really, really good. It reminds me a lot of their older stuff, not so much the direction they took on Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon. Those were great albums in their own right, but this is much more of a black metal album than they've been releasing.

And Hellhammer- holy fucking shit... double bass like whoa.

I dunno. I bought Death Cult 'cause I thought it was my favourite album by them... but after a few listens some of the songs kinda run together. I feel bad, 'cause I passed up their debut for it.

Also, I'm thinking of picking up the new one soon... I've just got so many albums to buy and too little money.

I didn't like Death Cult too much, the songs lacked the continuity of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia. DC had a couple great standout tracks and a bunch of filler.

Then, instead of recording a new jam, they re-recorded Stormblast, why I will never know... But, I think in doing that they reconnected with their pre-Nicholas Barker sound. This new one sounds a lot more like their old shit.

Death Cult had the two orchestrated ones... Progenies of the Great Apocalypse, and Eradication Instincts Defined. First track was pretty good too. Others I have to be in a mood for.

My girlfriend just sent me Godless Savage Garden... gonna check it out in a few minutes.

I heard one of the tracks off the new album. Sounds promising.
