Well, I say that because I saw a video where they played at graspop and Sam was completely out of tune and they lost sync with each other for about 30 seconds during one song. Admittedly it wasn't much in their hands but that isn't the first time I have seen them making blunders. But like I said, when they arn't doing things like that their performance kicks ass.

i think Dragonforce need a bigger stage when playing live. They are a very active on-stage band. They need more room to jump around on stage IMO. that would be the only thing i can say about their performances, they're sorta struggling for a bit of room sometimes.

I can't really say much about Dragonforce, but judging from the 3-4 songs I've listened to, they have the potential to be so much better than they are now. I think you guys are onto something here; if they try something new, they could unlock a gateway into a whole new age of metal.

Are they great? Yes.
THE best evar? No. But they can be.

Yeah I just not into them they are alright but was hugly dissapionted by the Inhuman Rampage album, felt the guitar playing was laking emotion

i have to say i thought Inhuman was probably my favourite album. Its just constant music, whereas i thought in parts of valley of the damned it wasn't full enough or something like there wasnt enough keyboard in alot of the songs

Valley of the Damned is the best in my humble opinion.

I was really impressed with Inhuman Rampage, the cover is shit and the inner booklet photos are a bit dodgy, but great tunes!!!

sonic firestorm is the best in my opnion, inhuman rampage wasnt all that great

I don't see why people think IR has been their worst album. Whats so bad about it? I mean really, it's faster, very melodic, singing is excellent and the guitar is as good and if not better than VotD and SF

I haven't ever seen this DF live but I don't like their songs so much. It is true that their songs are very fucking fast but there's no sence at all in the songs and when you have heard one of their songs you have heard them all.
One time I saw a band and their guitar player were jumping around the stage... actually it looked stupid

i like Dragonforce, theyre kind of funny i think. The songs are fast as hell!

Dragonforce is good music, maybe the best, but I like alot other bands too. Dragonforce rocks, pure and beatiful powermetal!

I like to listen to it sometimes, but in some days it gives me a headache...hahahaha...then i listen to something slow

Ohhh Dragonforce!!! its a great band!!! i like soo much!!! They have many many amazing songs! My favourite song its Valley of the dammed! The last album its cool,but i like more the first jjeje!

Dude, any dragonforce song is good. Just pick a random song and its good. and yes, Herman and Sam can and do play that fast live, granted of course if Sam isn't sloshed.

Dragonforce are a great band. And as strident says all the their songs are good. Buy an album. And yes Sam and Hreman do play that fast live. Sam plays better when hes buggered, strident

Thats actually what I meant, sorry. But as he said, just the right amount and he plays good, too much or too little, and he doesn't.

Incredible band, but it would be silly to call them the "best band ever". Firstly, slow any one of their songs down 50%. Sounds suspiciously like Maiden, doesn't it? And don't think Maiden play at the tempo they do because they can't play faster. It's because they balance speed and feeling.
Also, their lyrics make less and less sense with each album. And don't argue, because ZP himself said that they are just there for atmosphere and the melodies. That's lazy, in my opinion. It's fun for a while, but you can't just write entire albums based on Power Metal cliches. There need to be stories, not a whole bunch of arbitrary images.

Awesome guitar work, awesome singing (especially on IR), great drumming, fantastic energy, catchy melodies and speeeeeed, but there's not enough variety and originality. Also, they've only got 3 albums under their belt. Let's talk again in a couple of years.

PS. there are many guitarists better that Sam and Herman (especially Sam, though he is great). Vai and Michael Romeo
are good examples. You need accuracy, feeling and variation as well as speed. Also, a lot of it is tremolo picking and simple tapping (okay, mostly Sam. Herman's pretty bulletproof). They're awesome, but it'll be some time before they reach Vai level.

I'd say they're top ten, at the moment.

i just got the new issue of Metal Hammer, and it had a dvd attached. guess who played live on the dvd? DRAGONFORCE!!!!! but the thing is, their music is so complicated, THEY SUCK LIVE!!!!!
